Shahab is a Postdoc fellow at University College London in the Center for Medical Image Computing working with Doctor Joseph Jacob on early lung cancer prediction. Before joining UCL, he was a visiting researcher at the MIA Research group in the CS department of the Simon Fraser University working with Professor Ghassan Hamarneh on brain image analysis. Shahab did his Ph.D. on analyzing MRI brain images of Multiple Sclerosis at the Italian Institute of Technology where he was advised by Professor Vittorio Murino and Doctor Diego Sona.
